"It`s the time of the year when glossiness, glitter and golden sparkle
are not just lots of fun - they`re compulsory!"

i there, thanks for taking a break from this stressful time to come and visit! Christmas is absolutely my biggest extravagance -I go berserk on decorations. My children, along with my family and my friends excitement, is so catching! I take enormous pride

in decorating our tree with ribbons, faux flowers and the obligatory baubles and anything else that I can get my hands on... on the cheap!!! Sadly nowadays my children do not get stuck in as much as they would previously... but since I'm such a control freak when it comes to Christmas decorating...maybe it's better that way!!! Here is my living room decorated for the festive season. This year, I decided to go for a complete overhaul on the look of my Christmas tree and the rest of the room... mainly due to the two painted black walls in the alcoves. To complement this room decor, I opted for OLD HOLLYWOOD GLAMOUR / HOLLYWOOD REGENCY. By using black and white with a mix of metallic`s thrown in... Where muted metallic lends to faded grandeur with bronzes, gold and silver, combined with the grand look of faux flowers, twigs and over sparkly oversize rhinestone ribbons. And the... FEATHERS!!! -Nothing else shouts out loud glamour, more than feathers!!!

THE LIVING ROOM
Are you still with me? Apologies for the photo overload. When I have some free time, I`m hoping to share this simple but cool idea of how to hide the "pain in the butt" (and my beloved hubbie's pride of joy) huge and very unattractive plasma screen....
- FROM UGLY TO A PIECE OF ART!!!
P.s- The pain in the butt is the TV, not my hubbie. Although he can be that too, sometimes... ;)
"Everyone has their own special way of celebrating the festivities,
but lots of us, think that decorating our home is one of the best parts of the build up."
THE COFFEE TABLE
- Since my living room tends to always be OTT with Christmas decorations... I opted to keep my coffee table minimal... well as minimal as it can be. Since I love to be surrounded with all sorts of pretty things to look at... specially at this time of the year! (The tray is vintage and its a new purchase). The ornate detail on it... its just utterly gorgeous!
"Christmas is a time to get together, prepare food, have a feast, be jolly and share gifts,
- it`s sparkly & fun."
THE DINING ROOM
For me when it comes to set the dining room table for this season of good cheer, is a case of more is more. Since I didin`t have the "right tablecloth" that would evoke Hollywood glamour... I use a bed throw, instead! What can I say? - When you don`t have don`t go without.... Improvise! And since I also like to add something that doesn`t necessarily have to be Christmas related, (Tip: it becomes a talking point and its a great ice breaker, when you have guests that you aren`t so familiar with) I used these lovely feathers, that are actually hair pins!
The beautiful tropical plant (on the photo below), it`s a Christmas gift from my lovely and very generous neighbor.
The Christmas crackers are pretty in gold. More bling, bling... because it`s obligatory at Christmas, of course! Why not? The more the merrier in my book anyway! If you can`t fully indulge with it at this festive time of the year... When can you?
And that`s what it`s like around our humble abode, for this wonderful Season Of Good Cheer.
I hope you enjoyed the tour and now, let the celebration truly begin!
